Mrs. Patricia "Praying Patti" Yarling of Barney, Georgia passed away December 16, 2023 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Georgia.  She was born February 25, 1947 in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Byron Hendricks Yarling and Clara Catherine Wingo Yarling.  Mrs. Yarling lived in Texas before moving to Barney where she has lived the past 22 years.  She worked at Flash Foods in Morven and Quitman.

Mrs. Yarling is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law: Larry and Lisa Singletary of Tifton, Georgia, Dominique and Denise Singletary of Spring, Texas and Michael Singletary of Barney; seven grandchildren: Holly Singletary of Hahira, Georgia, Karah Willis of Norman Park, Georgia, Hunter Collins of Tifton, Jacob L. Singletary of Spring, Texas, Korben K. Singletary of Fayetteville, North, Carolina, Aubrey R. Bowers of Spring, Texas and Joseph "Little Bill" Leverett of Lakeland, Georgia; four great grandchildren: Aubrey Singletary of Hahira, Chance Willis, Colton Willis and Desmond Collins all of Norman Park; and one brother, Chuck Yarling of Austin, Texas.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Maria Leverett Singletary and her husband, Larry G. "Pops" Singletary, Sr.

Funeral services were held at 3:00 PM on Friday, December 22, 2023 at the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home, Inc.  Interment followed at the New Friendship Primitive Baptist Church in Hahira, Georgia.  Visitation took place from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the funeral home on Friday prior to the funeral service.
