Patricia Gail Walker Baldree, 66, died Saturday, December 3, 2016, at Tift Regional Medical Center surrounded by family and friends. Services were held Tuesday, December 6th at 2.00 p.m. at Lakeview Baptist Church with visitation beginning one hour before the service. The Rev. Craig Barnett officiated and interment followed in the church cemetery.

Patricia was born June 7, 1950, to Eston H. and Ouida Williams Walker, both whom preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Tift County High School, Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and Valdosta State University. She was a retired educator with the Tift County School System where she taught Spanish for 22 years. She had previously worked for several years with the Tift County Migrant Education ESL Program, teaching Hispanic itinerant children English as a second language. She was very passionate with any endeavor she undertook, whether it was teaching, music, traveling or fishing. She was an active member of Lakeview Baptist Church for many years, being involved in many facets but especially the music program. She and her husband were instrumental in forming, directing and supporting New Creation, a gospel musical group from Lakeview. She planned and organized several trips for her and her husband and their traveling buddies and immensely enjoyed fishing and relaxing at their home in Keaton, Florida. Her most treasured time was spent being 'Gammy' to her grandchildren.

Mrs. Baldree is survived by her husband, Durl Baldree, to whom she was married for 47 years; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey Durl and Marci Connell Baldree of Adel and Kirk Walker and Mimi Grace Baldree of Lenox; three grandchildren, Gracyn Rebecca Baldree, Ava Grace Baldree and Eston Shaw Baldree; two sisters and their spouses, Phyllis and Dale Lasseter and Rhonda and Wes Shannon, all of Tifton; father and mother-in-law, Paul and Doris Baldree of Lenox; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law and their spouses, Jan and Michael Godwin, Sandra and Charles Sumner and Charles and Cheryl Baldree, all of Lenox; special friends, C. R. and Myra Thompson of Chula and Royce and Patsy Boone of Lenox; several aunts and uncles, and a host of nieces and nephews to whom she was known as Aunt Trish.
