Mr. Paul V. Joiner, 82, of Lenox, Georgia, passed away November 3, 2014 at his home. He was born in Lenox on August 28, 1932 to the late Needham Homer Joiner and Vera Faircloth Joiner. He lived most of his life in Cook County and was a member of Lenox Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was retired from the U.S. Civil Service and Tift Regional Hospital where worked as a biomedical engineer. He also served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Joiner is survived by his wife "Dee" Joiner of Lenox; a son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Carmen Joiner of Lenox; a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Donald Smith of Charlotte, North Carolina; and seven grandchildren: Jacob Joiner, Gracie Joiner, Aaron Robinson, Joseph Robinson, all of Lenox, Kylie Smith, Kori Smith, and Cole Smith, all of Charlotte. He was preceded in death by two sisters: Faye Baker and Jessie Lee Wise.
The Joiner family received friends Wednesday November 5, 2014 from 6 until 8 pm at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave., in Adel, Georgia. The funeral service was held Thursday November 6, 2014 in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home at 2 pm with Rev. Clinton Moore and Mr. Chad Sumner officiating. Interment followed at Lenox City Cemetery with Rev. Don Williams officiating. Jennifer Daughtrey played piano and sang "Beaulah Land" at the chapel and Joey and Wendy WIlliams sang "Thank You Lord" at the graveside. Bern Rudisill, Emerson Ennis, Jackie Ryan, Brad Godwin, Chad Sumner, Zack Baker, and Ryan Ennis served as pallbearers.
