Mrs. Peggy Strong Alderman, 76, of Adel, Georgia passed away on December 22, 2024 at the Fellowship Home in Nashville, Georgia.  Mrs. Alderman was born in Douglas, Georgia  on May 27, 1948 to the late Dr. John Strong and the late Frances Hicks Strong.  She lived in Marathon, Florida for many years and the past 30 years in Cook County.  Mrs. Alderman was a legal secretary for many years and was retired from Cook County Georgia Farm Bureau after 16 years of service.  She was a member of the Adel United Methodist Church and the Adel Pilot Club.

Mrs. Alderman is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law; Jon Alderman of Nashville, Georgia; Derek and Michele Alderman of Marathon, Florida; one grandson, Kody Alderman of Tavernier, Florida.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Vern Wesley Alderman.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on Monday; December 30, 2024 at the Adel Wesleyan Church with Rev. Doug Tolson and Rev. John Stephens officiating and eulogy given by Mrs. Debbie Purvis. Interment will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery Annex.  Dr. Mary Sue Ward will sang "How Great Thou Art" and "Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)" at the service.  Mrs. Joann Cooksey was the organist. .Jason Alderman, Christopher Alderman, Buddy Duke, Keigan Duke, Max Duke, Ken Register, Kevin Marten-Vegue and Hank Pitts will serve as pallbearers.  Visitation took place at the church from 1:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the service.
