Obituary

Some glad morning when this life is o'er, I'll fly away.

On August 28, 2025, Render Folsom of Adel gained his wings and entered into the glory of his Lord. Render was born November 2, 1943, to the late David L. and Susie I Onnie Roach Folsom and lived in Adel his entire life.  A graduate of Crossroads School, he was a farmer, bus driver (42 years), loving husband, father, PaPa, uncle, brother, and friend to many.  He served his community on the ASCS Board for many years, helped organize Pine Valley Volunteer Fire Department, Lifetime Member of the Cook County Young Farmers, and was a member of Friends Helping Friends.  An Emeritus Mason, Render served as Past Master of Adel Lodge #310 twice and was Secretary of the Lodge for over 15 years. A Deacon of Springhead Baptist Church, Render could often be found on Sundays leading the choir and singing praises to his Lord.

Mr. Folsom leaves to rejoice in his Homegoing Fredda B. Folsom, loving wife of 58 years, sons Lee (Christie) and Leslie (Angie), all of Adel.  Grandsons Ethan, Grant, Jack, Thad, and Greer, all of Adel; four sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by eight brothers, two sisters, five brothers-in-law, and eight sisters-in-law.
