Mr. Rick A. Boyd, 46 of Adel, Georgia passed away at his residence November 30, 2014 following a long illness. Mr. Boyd was born September 15, 1968, in Cook County to the late John C. Boyd and to his surviving mother, Janet Clark Boyd. He was a member of Gordon Ave. Baptist Church and a former Deputy Sheriff with the Thomas County Sheriff's office.

Mr. Boyd is survived by his mother, Mrs. Janet Clark Boyd; two brothers and sisters-in-law: John "Randy" and Annette Boyd; David and Lee Anne Feagin; and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Willie Belle Clanton all of Adel. Several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at the New Life Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Duncan officiating. Interment will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery Annex. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, December 1, 2014 at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave.; Adel, Georgia.
