Mrs. Robbie Barnes Becton, 91 of Adel, Georgia passed away September 9, 2026 at the Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia. Mrs. Becton was born in Brooks County and lived most of her life there before moving to Adel in 1998. She had retired From Greene's Home Center after 35 years of service. Mrs. Becton was a member of the Adel United Methodist Church.

      She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Wade and Mary Jo May of Phenix, Arizona; two brothers and sisters-in-law; Raleigh and Dell Barnes; Stanley and Judy Barnes all of Quitman, Georgia; several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edgar Jackie Becton; son, Jerry Bruce May and four brothers; Norris Barnes, Nolan Barnes, Melvin Barnes and Edwin Barnes.

      A graveside service was held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Doug Tolson officiating and a eulogy given by Priscilla Greene. Interment followed.  Visitation was conducted from 10:00 to 10:45 AM at Boone Funeral Home (1804 S. Hutchinson Ave.) prior to the graveside service.
