Mr. Robert E. "Bob" Rumph, Sr., 88 of Adel, Georgia passed away July 14, 2020 at his residence. He was born July 20, 1931 in Valdosta, Georgia to the late L C Rumph and Audrey Sally Simpson Rumph.  Mr. Rumph lived most of his life in Cook County and was retired after 35 years as a bus driver with Greyhound Bus Line. He was a member of the Adel Church of God.

Mr. Rumph is survived by his wife, Lois Hale Rumph of Adel; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert "Bobby" E. Rumph, Jr. and his wife Wylene of Middleburg, Florida; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Ed Farmer of Sparks, Georgia; a step-daughter and son-in-law, Cherraine and Anthony Grizzard of Breman, Georgia; a step-son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Jerry L. and Tabatha Rewis of Ochlocknee, Georgia; eleven grandchildren; one brother, Thomas "Tommy" F. Rumph of Valdosta, Georgia; and three sisters, Jean Davis of Gulfport, Mississippi; Pat Godwin of Valdosta and Joyce Ostean of Atlanta, Georgia.  He was preceded in death by one brother, Hollis Rumph, and three sisters: Sue Tyner, Wilma Wylene Rumph and Barbara Ann Bodiford.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 17, 2020 at the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Rev. Ashley Way officiating.  Interment followed at the Money Cemetery in Cook County.  Rev. Jerry Rewis sang "Serenaded by Angels" and "Precious Memories;" Phyllis Gaskins Carter sang "Just a Rose Will Do" and was accompanied by Renae Cassity on piano.  Rev. Jerry Rewis, Rev. Ashley Way, Corkey Taylor and Derrick Jackson served as active pallbearers; Bobby Day, Harold Day and Dr. Bill Day served as honorary pallbearers.  Condolences may be expressed online at www.boonefunerals.com .
