Mrs. Sally Ann Bennett, 86, of Valdosta, Georgia, passed away at her residence on October 16, 2020.  She was born May 13, 1934, in Cook County to the late William Monroe Southerland and Sudie Adams Southerland Eason.  Mrs. Bennett lived most of her life in Valdosta and was a mother and homemaker.  She was a member of the Lakeland Church of Christ in Lakeland, Georgia.

Mrs. Bennett is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law: Larry and Alice Bennett of Stockton, Georgia, and Elton "Skeeter" Bennett of Valdosta; seven grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James Henry Bennett; two sons, Fred Nelson Bennett and Johnny Bennett; four brothers and five sisters.

A graveside service was held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 19, 2020, at the Sparks City Cemetery in Sparks, Georgia with Bro. David Abbott officiating and a poem was read by Larry Bennett.  Interment followed.  Bro. Abbott led the congregation in the singing of "What a Day That Will Be" and "How Great Thou Art."  Chris Bennett, Fred Bennett, Brett Bennett, Scott Bennett, Brian Kelley, Levi Kelley and Shane Newman served as pallbearers.  A short visitation was held before the service from 10:15 to 10:45 at Boone Funeral Home; 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave.; Adel, Georgia.
