Mrs. Sharon Broadaway Carter, 65, of Adel, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Navicent Health Medical Center in Macon, Georgia. She was born in Warner Robins, Georgia, on May 13, 1953. Mrs. Carter was a Baptist and lived most of her life in Adel. She was a retired registered nurse with the Cook County Health Department.

Mrs. Carter is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Matt and Cathy Carter of Norman Park, Georgia; her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Stacy Searcy of Lakeland, Georgia; her mother, Lounelle G. Broadaway of Adel; three grandchildren: Hayden Searcy and Dawson Searcy of Lakeland, and Raylan Carter of Norman Park; and a sister, Sonia Bianchi of Palmetto, Florida. She was preceded in death by her father, Allen W. Broadaway.

A memorial service for Mrs. Carter will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home. Rev. Harris Whitman will officiate. "Tapestry" and "Dancing in the Sky" will be the musical selections played at the service.
