Mrs. Sherry Wallace Griffin, age 67, of Sparks, Georgia, passed away on September 2, 2022 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia.  She was born on April 29, 1955 in Adel, Georgia and her parents were the late Larry Joe Wallace and Martha Nell Graves Wallace.  Mrs. Griffin lived all of her life in Cook County where she served her family as a homemaker and she was also retired from Movie Gallery where she was a manager.  She was a lover of all animals, great and small, especially her beloved dog, Tater.

Mrs. Griffin is survived by her son, Mitchell Griffin of Valdosta, Georgia; her special friend and caregiver, Debi Brock of Albany, Georgia; and a host of extended family members.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Edward Griffin.

Funeral services for Mrs. Griffin will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, September 5, 2022 at Brushy Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Parker officiating.  Interment will follow at the church cemetery with Rev. Ike Jefferson performing the committal service.  Visitation will take place at the church one hour prior to the funeral services.  Jack and Bettye Joiner will sing "Precious Memories," "Amazing Grace" and "Come Morning" at the service.  Active pallbearers will include Morris Myers, Jarod Myers, Royce Kendrick, Reece Kendrick, Bruce Fykes and Ferris Fykes.  Mrs. Griffin's caregivers will serve as honorary pallbearers including Debi Brock, Will Byers, Shumario Brown, Hannah Walker, Tommy McDonald, Rose Franklin and Lisha Scruggs.  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.boonefunerals.com.
