Mr. Steve R. Walker, 59, of Sparks, Georgia, passed away on July 13, 2022 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia.  He was born in Tifton on May 25, 1963.  Mr. Walker lived in Rockdale County for a period of time but resided in Cook County for most of his life.  He was retired from Heavy Duty Distributors, Inc. of Cordele, Georgia where he worked in sales and he was of the Primitive Baptist Faith.

Mr. Walker is survived by his son, Justin Walker of Arizona; father and step-mother, Randy and Jeanne Walker of Adel, Georgia; mother and step-father, Patsy and Rountree Whitehurst of Adel; and brother and sister-in-law, Scott Walker and Tonya Walker, of Sparks.

The funeral services were held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 15, 2022 at the Spring Hill Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Dwight Marshall officiating.  Interment followed in the church cemetery.  Larry Capan, Russell Welch, Jason Walker, Terry Pafford, Craig Betts and David Bennett served as pallbearers.  The Betts Family Singers sang "Amazing Grace," "Come Morning" and "Farther Along."  Visitation was held at the church one hour prior to the service.
