Ms. Sylvia S. Lewis, 81, of Adel, Georgia, passed away May 26, 2016 at Cook Senior Living Center in Adel. She was born in Nashville, Georgia on October 3, 1934 to her late parents, Loran Lafayette Lee and Letha Brantley Lee. She was a member of the Adel Church of God. She lived most of her life in Texas where she worked at oil field refineries before moving to Cook County in 1988 where she worked as a switchboard operator with Memorial hospital of Adel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Perry Lewis and she is survived by her special cousin Johnny Brantley and his wife, Sarah, of Nashville.

A memorial service for Ms. Lewis was held Saturday May 28, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home (1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel) with Rev. Phillip Simmons officiating.
