Mr. T. Terrell Cato, Sr., 77, of Adel, Georgia, passed away at his home on December 3, 2019, surrounded by his family. He was born in Lanier County on February 13, 1942. Mr. Cato was a member of First Baptist Church of Adel and was retired from Montgomery Ward as an executive vice-president.
Mr. Cato is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Bloser Cato of Adel; four sons and daughters-in-law: Tommy Jr. and Jackie Cato of Hendersonville, Tennessee; Mike and Nicole Cato of Bradenton, Florida; Jeff and Stacy Cato of Edmond, Oklahoma; Jason and Stefanie Cato of Palmetto, Georgia; ten grandchildren: Catherine Cato, Blakely Cato, Lee Cato, Lauren Cato, Savannah Cato, Caleb Cato, Ashton Cato, Cameron Cato, Austin Cato and Olivia Cato; a brother, Wayne Cato of Matthews, North Carolina; and two step-sisters: Beverly Alley of Adel and Toni Bloser of Statesboro, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Leroy "Buck" Cato and Thelma Duggan Cato Boyd; his stepmother, Gladys Cato; and his sister, Faye Reeves.
A graveside funeral service for Mr. Cato was held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Woodlawn Cemetery Annex in Adel with Rev. John Harrington officiating. No formal visitation was held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Mr. Cato.
