Mr. Terry W. Rogers, 62, of Hahira, Georgia passed away on September 15, 2018 at his residence. He was born on August 2, 1956 in Valdosta, Georgia, to the late Terrell Littleton Rogers and Vera Alice Gandy Rogers. He was a Baptist and lived most of his life in Lowndes County. Mr. Rogers served honorably in the United States Marine Corps and also the Army. He was a retired welder for Union Tank and also served as an instructor for Thomasville Tech.
Mr. Rogers is survived by his daughter, Taylor Rogers of Quitman, Georgia; four sisters and brothers-in-law: Jane and Carroll Bullard, Teresa and Van Gibbs, Sherry and David Huckaby, all of Adel, Georgia, Karen and Tom Brooks of Douglasville, Georgia; a brother-in-law, Steve Weeks of Adel; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Melinda Weeks.
The funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Rev. Ashley Way officiating. Interment followed at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family received friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service. Jake Weeks, Zack Weeks, Clint Bullard, Colby Bullard, Walter Cowart and Jed Huckaby served as pallbearers. Special music selections played at the service were "Go Rest High on That Mountain" and "I Can Only Imagine."
