Mr. Terry Wright, 88, of Adel, Georgia, passed away September 3, 2016 at Melech Hospice House in Temple Terrace, Florida, following a sudden illness. Mr. Wright was born September 25, 1927 in Cook County, Georgia to the late Charlie Wright and Alva Lee Castleberry Wright. He was a member at the Antioch United Methodist Church and had retired from the United States Post Office where he was a rural route mail carrier. Mr. Wright served in the United States Navy on the USS Hancock during WWII. He was also a member of Adel Masonic Lodge No. 310.

Mr. Wright is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Lee Edwards of Tampa, Florida, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Mrs. Lucille Felts Wright; an infant daughter, Darlene Wright; one brother, Charles Reese Wright and one sister, Peggy Whitehurst.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at the Antioch United Methodist Church with Rev. Christy Bandy officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn City Cemetery. Visitation will be conducted from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday September 5, 2016 at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave.; Adel, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Antioch United Methodist Church Harry Bradford Sunday School Class or to the charity of your choice. The congregation will sing "Amazing Grace" and "Shall We Gather at the River" and Johnnie Lou Ellenberg will play piano. Dr. Charlie Wright, Tim Wright, Freddie Palmer, Tony Betts, Emory Felts and Bobby Tucker will serve as active pallbearers and the Harry Bradford Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.
