Mr. Thomas "Tommy" Smith, 65, of Sparks, Georgia, passed away November 22, 2014 at Rehab Center of South Georgia in Tifton, Georgia. He was born March 17, 1949 in York Kittery, Maine , to the late Lloyd Carroll Smith, Sr. and the late Annie Ruth Hewlett Smith. He grew up in Lumber City, Georgia but had lived the past thirty years in Cook County. He was a member of Springhead Baptist Church and was retired from CarQuest he he worked in sales. Mr. Smith served his country in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Army Reserves.

Mr. Smith is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Jenny C. and Nathan Taylor, and Brittany and T.J. Smith, all of Sparks; four grandchildren: Jenny M. Taylor, Nicole Taylor, Brayden Dale Smith, and Jayden Thomas Smith, all of Sparks; and a brother, Lloyd C. Smith, Jr. of Corpus Christie, Texas. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ethel Marie Bennett.

A graveside funeral service for Mr. Smith will take place Tuesday November 25, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Danny Ray and Rev. Wayne Boykin officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 until 1:45 PM at Boone Funeral Home, 1804. S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel.
