Mr. Tommy Ray Smith, 61, of Adel, Georgia, passed away May 4, 2015 at his residence following a long illness. He was born on January 10, 1954 in Cook County to the late James Coleman Smith and Mary Belle Franks Smith. Mr. Smith was retired from the Adel Tire Company and had lived most of his life in Cook County.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Cheryll Ray Smith of Adel; two daughters and a son-in-law: Tabatha S. and Rev. Jerry L. Rewis of Ochlocknee, Georgia, and Kimberly S. Richardson of Adel; four grandchildren: Tomi Rhai Richardson, Joely Richardson,and Brooklyn Richardson, all of Adel, and Colman Rewis of Ochlocknee; two brothers and a sister-in-law: Rev. Wayne and Pat Smith of Moultrie, Georgia, and Ronnie Smith of Thomasville, Georgia; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Jane Smith Folsom of Valdosta, and Brenda S. and Houston Tyson of Adel; and his honorary grandchildren: the X-Treme Fury Softball Team.

A memorial service for Mr. Smith will be held Friday, May 8, 2015 at New Life Baptist Church at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jimmy Young officiating.
