Mrs. Valera Parrish Clements, 93, of Adel, Georgia, passed away on August 12, 2020 at her daughter's residence in Adel.  Mrs. Clements was born on March 28, 1927, in Adel, to the late June Jackson "J.J." Parrish and Ada Belle Sirmans Parrish.  She lived in Jacksonville Beach, Florida for 32 years before returning to Adel in 1992.  Mrs. Clements was a homemaker and attended the Adel Church of Christ.  She also was a member, as well as an officer, in many of the following organizations and clubs: Brushy Creek Chapter of Daughters of Indian Wars, Colonial Dames of the 17th Century, Cook County Exchange Club, Cook County Historical Society, Daughters of the American Colonists, Dixie Chapter of United Daughters of the Confederacy, Levi Sapp Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, Sgt. Benjamin Exum Chapter of Daughters of the War of 1812, Southern Dames of America, and Woodmen Life Honorary.

Mrs. Clements is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Sandy and Denise Clements of Jacksonville Beach, Florida; her daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and Rick Rodgers of Adel; nine grandchildren: Jason and Jerri Lynne Eisenhower, Josh and Christian Eisenhower, all of Adel, Adam and Lisa Eisenhower of Valdosta, Georgia, William Clements of Jacksonville Beach, Ashley and Chris Humphreys of Jacksonville, Florida, Pate and Ashley Parrish of Adel, Kimbrell and Patrick Halloran of St. Augustine, Florida, John Rodgers of Palatka, Florida, Brad and Jennifer Rodgers of St. Augustine; fourteen great grandchildren: Jonathan Seago, Jordan and Emily Seago, Hannah Seago, Annabelle Eisenhower, Ellie Eisenhower, Katelyn Nitschke, Emily Eisenhower, Audrey Eisenhower, all of Adel, Abram Eisenhower, Gracelynn Eisenhower and Lucy Eisenhower, all of Valdosta, Patrick Henry Halloran, Declan Halloran and Noah Rodgers all of St. Augustine; and one brother, Alan J. Parrish of Merritt Island, Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Augustus "Billy' Clements, Jr.; one great grandson, Hayden Eisenhower; and three brothers: Jack Parrish, Emory Parrish and Paul Parrish.

Due to COVID-19, a private funeral service was held on Friday, August 14, 2020 in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Dr. Bill Blanchard officiating and Mr. Adam Eisenhower providing the eulogy. Jason Eisenhower, Josh Eisenhower, Adam Eisenhower, Jonathan Seago, Jordan Seago, Pate Parrish and William Clements served as pallbearers.  "How Great Thou Art," "You Are My Sunshine" and "Always" were special musical tributes played at the service.  The family received visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Boone Funeral Home.  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.boonefunerals.com .  --Boone Funeral Home has been entrusted with all arrangements.
