Mr. W. Terry Smith passed away Saturday December 2, 2017 at Cook Senior Living Center in Adel. He was born on June 8, 1939 in Cook County to Willard Bunion Smith and Louelle Arnold Jane Dunn Smith. He lived in Orlando for many years before moving back to Cook County in 1994. Mr. Smith was retired from the State of Florida where worked as an electrician, was a charter member of Gordon Avenue Baptist Church in Adel and also served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Lynda Bradford Smith of Adel; a son, W. Alan Smith of North Carolina; two daughters and a son-in-law: Sissy Bridges of Valdosta and Dee Dee and Tony Crocker of Lake Wales, Florida; two step-sons: Michael Kravec of Mesa, Arizona and Todd Kravec of Gibsonton, Florida; three grandchildren: Dusty Bridges and Angel Bates, both of Valdosta and Jade Crocker Keever of Lake Wales; three step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and four sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law: Margaret Ellen and Jack Futch, Latrelle Gornto, Fredda and Render Folsom, all of Adel, and Nancy Smith of Sparks. He was preceded in death by his previous wife and mother of his children, Brenda Fletcher Smith, and a brother, Donald R. "Donnie" Smith.

The funeral service was held Tuesday December 5, 2017 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home South with Rev. Doug Stevens and Rev. Bill Marlette officiating. Entombment followed at the Community Mausoleum in Woodlawn Cemetery Annex. The family received friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service. Dusty Bridges, Joe Bates, Mark Keever, Ramsey Kravec, Don Huckaby and Gary Cooksey served as pallbearers. Sheila Humber played piano and Steve Meders sang "In the Garden," "Farther Along" and "Midnight Cry." Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.boonefunerals.com.
