Mr. Walter "Walt" Jackson Barnard, Jr., 62 of Quitman, Georgia passed away on January 3, 2025 at his daughter's residence in Adel, Georgia.  He was born on December 24, 1962 in Nashville, Georgia to the late Walter Jackson Barnard, Sr. and the late Christine Marie Ratliff Harvey.  He lived most of his life in Valdosta and Quitman.  He previously worked with Waller Heating and Air for many years and retired as a truck driver with Langdale.

Mr. Barnard is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jackie Andrew "Andy" and Brandy Barnard of Quitman, Georgia; two daughters: Kelly Blanton of Adel and her fiancé, Mike Sims, and Katie Barnard of Quitman; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; one brother, Timmy Barnard of Valdosta; three sisters: Elaine Russell of Moultrie, Georgia, Tina Johnson of Havelock, North Carolina, and Melissa Barnard of Florida; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Barnard's request to be cremated was honored.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the Pineview Community Church in Quitman, Georgia.  Condolences may be expressed to the Barnard family online at www.boonefunerals.com .  Boone Funeral Home, Inc. is serving the family of Mr. Barnard.
