Mrs. Sharon Hancock Royals, 56, of Adel, Georgia, passed away on September 13, 2019, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Adel on April 4, 1963, to the late the Billy James Hancock and Vonnie Louise Lewis Hancock. She lived all of her life in Adel and worked for herself at Royals Bookkeeping and at The House of Grace. She was a member of the Grace Community Church and Friends Helping Friends.
Mrs. Royals is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law; Daniel and Jessica Royals, Josh Royals and his girlfriend, Victoria Clayton, all of Adel; three grandchildren: Alexis Royals, Madison Royals and Dawson Royals, all of Adel; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Sylvia and Forrest Sheets of Millbrook, Alabama and Stephanie H. Jackson and her special friend, James E. Rice, both of Adel; nephew and wife, Kyle and Jamie Jackson of Adel; great niece, Avery Hazel Jackson of Adel; special aunts and uncles: Mary L. Smitherman and Marjorie Lewis, both of Adel, Phebie and David Sinclair of Monroe, North Carolina, Ted and Hilda Lewis, Joe and Susan Lewis, James and Julia Lewis, all of Adel; and many cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Dorsey and Esta Mae Lewis and her uncle, Randall Lewis.
A celebration of her life was held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. Visitation was from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, September 16, 2019, at Boone Funeral Home. Rev. Keith Stith, Rev. Robert Holcomb and Rev. James E. Rice officiated the service. Interment followed at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Steve Meders sang "The Anchor Holds;" other special selections were "I'm Already There," "Lead Me Home," "Look for Me at Jesus' Feet" and "Beulah Land." Josh Royals, Daniel Royals, Kyle Jackson, Sam Spires, Jonathan Spires and Forrest Sheets served as pallbearers.
