Mrs. Virginia "Bootsy" Griffin, 83, of Lenox, Georgia, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia. She was born in Berrien County on July 14, 1935 to the late Milton Gerbert Goff and Lola Aliene Thomas Goff. She lived most of her life in Tift and Cook Counties where she worked as a homemaker and was also retired from Queen Carpet of Tifton. Mrs. Griffin was a member of Lenox Church of God.

Mrs. Griffin is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law: Ray Griffin of Tifton, Wayne and Charlene Griffin of Lenox; three daughters and two sons-in-law: Gail Hale of Tifton, Tammy and Calvin Hobbs of Lenox, Kim and Keith Walker of Lenox; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two sisters: Marynell Pope of Macon, Georgia and Betty Jones of Chula, Georgia; and a sister-in-law, Eloise Dampier of Tifton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Griggs "A.G." Griffin, Jr.; two brothers, Carlton Goff and J.D. Goff; and a sister, Carlene Gill.

The funeral service for Mrs. Griffin was held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, August 30, 2018, at Lenox Church of God with Rev. Brad McVea, Rev. Jimmie Hinson and Rev. Charlene Griffin officiating. Interment followed at Lenox City Cemetery. The family received friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Jeff Baker played bass and Heather Griffin played piano and joined Michelle Castleberry in the singing of "Precious Memories; Miss Griffin also sang "I Call It Home" with Gabrielle Coester; Gabrielle also sang "Jealous of the Angels;" the special musical selection, "Save a Place for Me," was played during the service.  Heather Griffin, Michelle Castleberry and Gabrielle Coester sang "Amazing Grace" at the graveside.  Jacob Hale, Jason Hale, Logan Walker, Austin Sutton, Brice McDaniel, Seth McDaniel, Dayton Griffin, Dustin Griffin, Alana Griffin, Michelle Kirkland, Angel Sumner and Kala Hobbs served as pallbearers.  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.boonefunerals.com .
